WONDERFUL!! WWI 'Trench Art' Aéronautique Militair

A brilliant piece of WWI French "Trench Art", probably made to adorn maybe a Prop-hub or just as a stand-alone Desk Display piece.

There are two screw/bolt holes in the bottom for affixing to whatever this was made for.

There are four pieces of aluminium used in the making of the Cigogne, fixed together using copper rivets. The main body is made of two identical panels with the wings double rivetted to the body. The Stork's legs seem to have been removed for some reason but the signs are there as to where they were.

The Cigogne measures 23cms in length by 19cms high.

Please Note; The base and screws are not original to the Cigogne but they are included for display purposes.
